Rhododendron control - Farmer training video

Rhododendron control farmer training video: Pearl Mussel Project and North Connemara EIPs

The Pearl Mussel Project and North Connemara EIPs are both European Innovation Partnerships funded by Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. They are results-based programmes meaning the higher your habitat score, the higher your payment.

Rhododendron is an alien invasive species that depletes peatland catchments of their ecological value. Where it occurs, this reduces the plot score and payment.

Rhododendron control is a Supporting Action that requires participants to follow the approved method in the video. We ask you to note the verification code that will appear on your screen towards the end of the video and send this to the Pearl Mussel Project or North Connemara EIP to show you have followed the training. The contact details are provided on screen.

We thank Peter O'Toole of the National Parks and Wildlife Service and Killarney National Park for allowing us to use it.
